Purpose

Wings Over Hope is a non-profit organization founded in 2016. It is run by a board of directors and is a Maine registered 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. It began with a passion to find a way to combine our love for the antique transportation items we collected over the years and our desire to enhance the lives of youngsters and their families.

Wings Over Hope's purpose is multifaceted.

1. We use antique and vintage transportation to provide hands-on adventures with the use of our collection to bring joy, excitement and thrill to children and families who may otherwise not have a chance to experience this exhilaration.

2. We provide flight instruction and aviation enthusiasm to youngsters who share our same burning desire to experience life in the air.

3. Our collection is used to promote, excite and lend a hand to other non-profit organizations whether it be for an event, fundraiser or fulfilling a wish.

Through the use of antique airplanes, seaplanes, cars, kites, gliders, a hot air balloon and a 1939 snowplane, Wings Over Hope's goal is to provide a day of respite and enjoyment to these families that will be truly treasured for a lifetime.

MISSION

This corporation is organized as a living Museum for the inspirational and educational benefits to children, adults and their families, who are facing challenging situations or battling life-threatening medical conditions.

Wings Over Hope provides hands-on real life involvement with the operation of a variety of historic flying machines and other related vintage vehicles. Through their use, we provide on-site experiences, instruction of our collection, outreach support and fundraising appeal to other non-profit organizations and churches that maintain public benefiting missions.
